Caterina Verde, a French-American artist, has issued a new print, Eye of Yore.

Printed on Hahnemuhle 300 gram paper, and printed with archival pigment inks, Eye of Yore was produced in an edition of three. Each print, signed and dated measures 60 x 80 cm.

"This is part of the 'family portrait series' that I've worked off and on for many years," explains Verde who was in Paris over the end of year holidays to work on the edition. "They are cameos of everyday life, a sort of Aldous Huxley alternate reality portal – an 'I C U, U C Me kind of thing."

Caterina Verde produces installations, videos, drawings,prints and is the creator of Strange Positioning Systems, a global interactive performance project.

Eye of Yore is Verde's first print with Burning Boy Press Paris.

SPS (Strange Positioning Systems) performance Project is now launched on KICKSTARTER.com. I hope you can forward this to everyone we /you know as well as participate. Kickstarter.com helps launch creative projects by having a forum to raise funds. It is based on a rewards system. more information about insulators

The above insulators were one of many patents held by Samuel Dimmick Mott, my great grandfather. He worked for a healthy amount of time for Thomas Edison and participated in many projects in the Menlo Park laboratory as well as making drawings for numerous inventions. At some point I'lll post the drawings. He was also good friends with the Wright Brothers and held several patents for aviation inventions. My grandmother told me about seeing one of the Wright Brothers flights as a little girl. As for the insulators, Samuel Mott was by no means the only one with patents on the insulators as there were various styles and details. But I have always loved those insulators and have made works with them even before I knew he had something to do with them.
